Election Results: A Tight Race

Gina Ortiz Jones and Rolando Pablos are headed to a runoff election after the May 3rd mayoral election in San Antonio. With all precincts reporting in Bexar County, the unofficial results show that neither candidate secured more than 50% of the vote, triggering a runoff.

Did You Know? This election marks the first time San Antonio mayoral candidates will serve a four-year term, following voter approval of charter amendments on Nov. 5.
  • Jones led the race with 27,483 votes, accounting for 27.20% of the total.
  • Pablos followed with 16,785 votes, or 16.61%.
