After a video where the Senator of the Citizen Movement party Samuel García, reproaches his wife, Mariana Rodriguez that “he showed a lot of leg” and told him “I married you for me, not for you to be teaching”, social network users responded to the senator with the label # YoEnseñoLoQueQuiera.
Although the senator publicly apologized and explained that it had been a “joke”, thousands of women began to respond by uploading photos of their legs, and other parts of their body.
Within the Twitter posts, the users rejected the macho comments and invited women to reject attitudes that promote gender violence.
