Samsung Launches Vision AI ​Companion,⁣ Unifying AI ⁢Features for Smarter Displays

Berlin, Germany – September 5, 2024 ‍- Samsung today unveiled Vision AI⁤ Companion at IFA 2024, a new software experience designed⁣ too consolidate the company’s artificial intelligence⁤ features into a single, accessible‍ hub for its TVs and ⁣monitors. The launch marks a critically important step in Samsung’s vision for AI-powered displays, first ‍introduced at CES 2025.

Vision AI Companion brings together features like Live Translate, providing real-time‍ translation for conversations and on-screen⁢ dialog, and Generative Wallpaper,⁢ offering customizable dynamic visuals. It also integrates AI Picture, Active Voice Amplifier Pro, and AI Upscaling pro ​to automatically optimize picture and sound quality ‍based on the viewing surroundings and content. Gamers will benefit‍ from⁣ the AI Gaming⁣ Mode, which delivers optimized,‌ immersive gameplay.

Expanding functionality, Samsung is also integrating copilot by Microsoft and Perplexity as⁢ standalone AI agent⁤ apps, ⁣offering task‌ support and⁢ productivity features directly through the ⁤TV.

“By unifying these functions, Vision AI Companion ​eliminates the need to switch between multiple apps⁤ or menus,⁣ becoming a‌ central hub for ⁤entertainment, productivity and connected experiences,” Samsung stated in a press release.

The ​Vision AI companion builds upon the ‌foundation of Samsung’s‍ Vision AI‌ concept, which aims ⁢to enhance‍ display and‍ audio quality, enable seamless device communication, and deliver tailored content through advanced AI agents. Samsung is backing this commitment with seven years of free software upgrades through⁣ the One UI tizen platform, ensuring supported models receive the latest features and security updates via Samsung Knox.

The software update will⁢ begin rolling⁢ out in‍ late September, starting‍ in Korea, North America, and select European markets,​ with further⁢ expansion planned for additional regions. more information is ​available at www.samsung.com.
