Samsung Introduces Galaxy A12 and A02S

Samsung officially introduced smartphone entry level the newest, namely Galaxy A12 and A02S. The cellphone is due to go on sale in Europe first in early 2021.

The A12 is considered designed to be the successor to the A11. The phone has a 6.5-inch HD + display with a notch for the 8 megapixel front camera, an octa-core processor, a side fingerprint sensor and a 5,000mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy A12 has four cameras on the back, including a 48 MP main camera, 5 MP ultrawide, and a pair of 2 MP cameras for taking macro and depth images.

The Galaxy A02S has the same screen and battery as the A12, but with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage (expandable with microSD).

Launch The Verge, Galaxy A02S also only has three rear cameras, namely 13 MP main camera, 2 MP macro, and 2 MP depth. Galaxy A02S is known to still use a Micro USB port and does not have a fingerprint sensor.

Launch GSM Arena, Samsung does not say chipset what it uses on the Galaxy A12, but looking at the configuration smartphone it is powered by the Helio P35 SoC. Samsung also didn’t reveal what version of Android the Galaxy A12 uses.

Galaxy A12 features the Samsung Knox security platform and is offered in Black, Blue, White and Red.

Like the Galaxy A12, the A02S also has a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W charging. The Galaxy A02S has black and white color options and will go on sale starting February 2021.

The Galaxy A12 will start at US $ 212 or Rp. 3 million for 32GB storage and 3GB RAM, with 128GB and 6GB RAM for US $ 236 or Rp. 3.3 million. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A02S starts at US $ 178 or Rp. 2.5 million.
