Samsung has sent the first update to Galaxy Watch 3. What is in it?

Just a few dozen hours after the official launch of the new products, Samsung is sending the first update to the newly introduced Galaxy Watch 3. The one in them launches support for several features that the watch is officially designed to handle. They are turned on, or rather uploaded to the system only now, but this is not unusual. The first update for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 turns on the watch blood oxygenation measurements, VO2 Max metrics, sleep analysis and improved jogging modes.

To measure blood oxygenation, Samsung has previously mentioned that these are only informative data and not “health data”. The manufacturer would probably come across this concept in many offices. Even so, the South Korean Samsung states in the first update of the Galaxy Watch 3 that in some countries this metric will not be available at all. These are Algeria, Angola, France, Iran, Japan, South Africa, Canada, Libya and Thailand. The clock should also be able to measure blood pressure and analyze the ECG, but these functions are even more problematic in terms of certifications. For example, Galaxy Watch Active 2 received pressure measurements not long ago and only for the domestic South Korean market.
