Officially announced in early September, the new cheap tablet from Samsung arrived on the market. Even the Italian one. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 2020 keeps the promises made by the Korean manufacturer at the time of presentation: it is comfortable, cheap and has a great battery.
Available in both Wifi-only and data SIM versions, the Galaxy Tab A7 has a 10.4-inch screen that covers 80% of the tablet’s total size. The technical specifications are those of a low-end tablet, but not too much, as Samsung’s initials A confirms, but the price / features ratio, even considering that we are talking about a Samsung product, it is good. The Galaxy Tab A7 is in fact an all-rounder home tablet, especially good for viewing multimedia content and, if necessary, finishing some work that we brought home from the office.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A7: the technical sheet
Samsung’s Galaxy A7 is a tablet with 10.4 inch TFT screen, with a resolution of 2,000 × 1,200 pixels. The SoC is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 with octa core CPU of 2 and 1.8 GHz. The ram is from 3 GB, while the space for photos, videos and music is 32 or 64 GB.
Two cameras present: a front 5 MP and a rear 8 MP. Face recognition, therefore, is in 2D and this does not make this authentication method very secure on the tablet on Samsung. It is possible to register video up to a resolution of 1,920 × 1,080 at 30 frames per second and there is no flash.
The battery instead it is very good: with 7.040 mAh you can use the tablet for a really long time before recharging it. Speaking of charging: the maximum accepted power is 15 Watt, but the 15W Adaptive Fast Charging (AFC) charger is sold separately. You can’t have everything if you want to spend little.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A7: quanto costa
The price of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 starts at 239 euros for the Wifi version with 32 GB of memory. Switching to 64 GB of memory instead you spend 269 euros, while the version with LTE connection is currently only available with 32 GB at the price of 299 euros.
There are always two colors available: gray and gold. Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 is sold with Android 10.
