Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G has a screen problem. Check your model

More than one ManiaK believes that the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G is a great smartphone for very reasonable money (as for 2020). Unfortunately, some owners of the Galaxy S20 FE have problems with the screen, or rather with the touch panel.

Galaxy S20 FE – the perfect smartphone for fans?

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, especially in the 5G version with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip, seems to be a hit material, of course, as for the smartphone’s capabilities for about PLN 3,000.

In my opinion, the term Fan Edition perfectly fits this model, because it offers almost everything that Samsung fans require from a phone.

That is why the Galaxy S20 FE has already landed in the pockets of a group of ManiaKs from different countries. This, in turn, allowed to bring to light both positive and negative opinions.

Unfortunately, the first problems also appeared …

Galaxy S20 FE has problems with touch

The entries of Galaxy S20 FE users who have appeared on various internet forms complain about problems with the touch panel. These voices mainly apply to the 5G variant, both in the US and in Europe, but not only.

The malfunction manifests itself in several ways, but most people complain of reading commands slowly – sometimes you have to touch the screen more than once for it to react appropriately. Some people think it’s the fault of a poorly programmed pocket mode (which blocks accidental touches) or the proximity sensor.

Galaxy S20 FE can also perform a different activity than ordered; some commands are executed with excessive sensitivity, e.g. while scrolling. In addition, there is a problem with the implementation of the so-called pincheseven when zooming in on photos.

Some phone owners say that one of the latest updates has brought a significant improvement. Others say the improvement is slight, and others complain that nothing has changed. For some it helps to reset the device or simply lock the screen, others do not.

The proof that these are not stories drawn from the finger is the statement of the Sammobile editorial office, which has two Galaxy S20 FE and in one of them the touch goes crazy, in the other it is not.

This is not the first time this has happened with a Samsung phone. Let me remind you that Konrad complained about a similar problem in the Galaxy Note 10 Lite he is using.

For my editorial colleague, these imperfections are a thing of the past. Will it be the same with the Galaxy S20 FE and any update will improve the operation of the touch panel?

We’ll find out in the future, but I keep my fingers crossed that the matter can be handled successfully, without the need for a service action.

We recommend:

There has never been such a promotion: Samsung wants to give customers PLN 7,092,000!

  1. Have had my S20 FE 5g for less than a week and this is a problem. I have it set to wake both when I pick it up and when I double tap and sometimes neither work. I have to press one of the physical side buttons to get the screen to come on.

  2. The s20FE also has a proximity sensor issue. Many of us have screens that don’t go inactive when on a call and you put your phone to your ear. The screen is either slow, or does not inactivate. Its easy to hang up , call someone else, launch another app… the sensor is now virtual, so it should be a software problem. Reseting phone to factory default does NOT fix the issue.
