Samsung announces new smartphones, tablets and more

Samsung has announced new Galaxy products for the Swiss market. The main focus of Samsung’s press release is on two Galaxy Note 20 models. Samsung also announced the Galaxy Tab S7, Galaxy Buds Live, the Galaxy Watch 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 2.

The Galaxy Note20 5G and Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G

With the Galaxy Note20 5G and Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G, Samsung promises the most powerful processor of all Galaxy devices. According to the announcement, the Note20 Ultra equipped with a 120 Hertz screen has a dynamic AMOLED display and is intended for power users. The Note20 appeals to a wider audience. The quick charge function is designed to charge the battery of both devices by approximately 50 percent in 30 minutes. The Note20 series camera supports 8k video recording at 24 frames per second. In addition, it is equipped with the data transmission standard Wi-Fi 6. As with the previous models, Samsung relies on the S-Pen that is included with the devices. The reduced latency of the pen means that writing almost feels like a real pen.

The new smartphones will be available from August 21. The suggested retail price (RRP) for the Galaxy Note20 5G is 1029 francs and for the Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G 1279 francs. The former is available in the colors Mystic Bronze, Mystic Gray and Mystic Green, while the Note20 Ultra is available in Mystic Bronze and Mystic Black.

The watch will be available in two sizes. The device with a diameter of 41 millimeters is available in the colors Mystic Bronze and Mystic Silver for 429 francs (RRP) or 479 francs (RRP) with LTE. The larger version with a diameter of 45 millimeters is available in Mystic Silver and Mystic Black. The MSRP here is CHF 459, with LTE CHF 509.

No release date is yet known for the Galaxy Z Fold2. However, Samsung announced that the screens of the foldable smartphone with a 6.2-inch front display and a 7.6-inch main display were larger than those of the first Galaxy Fold. In addition, they are almost borderless. The device combines the strengths of its foldable predecessor model and the Galaxy Z Flip.
