And what would be New York, Judicial Police without Sam Waterston, the emblematic interpreter of the prosecutor Jack McCoy since 1994? While many of the cast from the original series have sadly passed away, Sam Waterston, nominated three times at the Emmy Awards and once at the Golden Globes for this role, will indeed be there. And according to Dick Wolf, it could not have been otherwise: “Since day one, Sam has always perfectly embodied Jack McCoy as a character who embodies the law and helps us understand it. He is the ultimate soul of the show and I can’t wait for him to emulate the career of the prosecutor of the District of New York, Robert Morgenthau, who served until age 90.” Sam Waterston, 81 years old and since become one of the main roles of the series Grace & Frankiesince 2015 alongside Jane Fonda, will be accompanied by another member of the original cast: Anthony Anderson, who takes over his role of inspector Kevin Bernard (the actor confides in his role in the Black-ish series) .
