Salon Series: Exploring the Role of Women in Art, and Discussing Finance and the Human Experience

Facebook-Post:

The difficult living conditions of artists have become a topic in media reporting at least since the Corona pandemic. The pandemic brought to light that even before the crisis, society had hardly any knowledge about the reality of life for solo self-employed artists. Now the issue of the conditions of production in culture has become socially acceptable and entered the political and intellectual agenda. With a four-part series, we give those interested an insight into what it means to be artistically active in principle and now in times of crisis. Together with the Kunsthaus Wiesbaden, we dive into the realities of life of artists in the salon series and ask for new ways of looking at old structures.

The third event in the salon series addresses the question of the role of women in art and the relationship between artistic creation and care work, which is often associated with women. Discuss with us Dr. Anna Lena Wenzel and Verena Schmidt.

Join us – we look forward to a lively discussion with you!

Admission is free.
