Salač complicated his start in qualifying for the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic

Motorcycle rider Filip Salač finished 29th in a combination of times from three training sessions before the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic in Brno. He will therefore present himself in the afternoon in the first phase of qualifying, in which he will fight for four promotion places to the second part. Although the eighteen-year-old racer set the thirteenth time at the very end of today’s third practice, it was subsequently canceled. The fastest in the Moto3 category was the Spaniard Raul Fernández.

The only Czech at the start of the fourth part of the World Championships, which takes place on the Masaryk Circuit without the presence of spectators, was the 26th after Friday’s practice. Today, like many other competitors, he had to deal with the penalty for tactics at the end of Friday’s second race and he was not allowed to enter the track for the first ten minutes of training.

Salač then held on to the third ten interim results for a long time, but in the last lap he set a time of 2: 08.874, which would be enough for him to advance to the main part of the qualification. However, the jury subsequently canceled it for him and the maximum of the Rivacold Snipers rider was left with a time of 2: 10,042. He was behind Fernández by 2.204 seconds.
