The Feast of Lodges which will take place this summer at Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines) presents a big novelty.
Indeed, the fairground committee approached the City for a project to install a new sign.
This was installed at the main entrance of this festival taking up residence each year on the Esplanade des Loges within the forest of Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
“Strengthen the attractiveness and renew its visual identity”
Vincent Migeon, the municipal councilor delegated to the security commissions, the municipal safeguard plan and the Fêtes des Loges had indicated that this project aimed to “reinforce the attractiveness of the funfair and renew its visual identity”.
Initially, this new sign was also intended to allow “generic information such as opening/closing times, the calendar of events, safety instructions, etc. to be scrolled on the screen. “.
But, in the end, this is not the option that was chosen.
€54,000 funded by the City
Organizer of the event, the City explained that it wanted to support the initiative of the Fairground Committee by participating in the financing of this sign.
She thus took charge of €54,000 (excluding taxes) out of the estimated €139,000.
Organized since 1652, this festival is a real institution and attracts a large audience every year.
“1.7 million visitors come to this fairground each summer, which has become, over the years, a family outing identified by the Ile-de-France residents but also by the inhabitants of neighboring departments (Oise, Normandy, etc.). It has nearly 150 fairground attractions bringing together traditional rides, shooting ranges and lotteries, ghost train and thrill rides. Specific to this fair, the “allée des Cuisines” offers visitors a large choice of restaurants, brasseries and rotisseries. »
