They will not be bored in 2024 the French of the Orient Express Team challenge also engaged in the America’s Cup which will take place in August 2024 in Barcelona. All the challenges involved in the 37th edition of the America’s Cup will have to compete in the preliminary regattas, in Vilanova i La Geltrú, near Barcelona, from September 14 to 17 and Jeddha in Saudi Arabia from November 30 to December 3, 2023.
Quentin Delapierre and some of his teammates will therefore have to jump on a plane with the Saint-Tropez Grand Prix, on September 9 and 10, get on the AC40, and return to Italy in Taranto for the Italian Grand Prix.
Halifax, Kingston, Montreal or Victoria?
Between 2023 and 2024, season 4 will therefore be spread over 13 months and 12 stages. It starts in June 2023 in Chicago and ends once again in San Francisco with the grand finale in July 2024
The crews entered will discover two new American cities, Los Angeles and New York, where the circuit is making a comeback.
Two new destinations are on the program: Auckland in New Zealand which will alternate for four years with Christchurch to host the event. The Canadian city is not yet revealed but it is played between Halifax (Nova Scotia), Kingston (Ontario), Montreal (Quebec) and Victoria (British Columbia).
