Sader begins delivery of fertilizer in Tlaxcala – Imagen Agropecuaria

With the aim of increasing the production of priority crops of small-scale vegetable and oat producers, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (Sader) began the delivery of inputs from the federal Fertilizers for Well-being program to farmers who entered their application and were benefited by complying with the requirements of the call.

In coordination with the Ministry of Welfare and the Mexican Food Security agency (Segalmex), on January 26 the delivery of this incentive began at the Agriculture-Segalmex Distribution Center (Cedas) in Calpulalpan, while on Wednesday 27 in Los Cedas from Huamantla, Ixtacuixtla and Tlaxco.

Through this program, it is considered to benefit 9,745 producers located in 36 municipalities of the entity, with a total of 18,130 hectares and an amount close to 60 million pesos.

The support concept for small-scale oat producers is up to 300 kilograms per hectare: 150 kilograms of urea and 150 kilograms of DBH.

In the case of vegetable producers, it is up to 300 kilograms per hectare: 100 kilograms of urea and 200 kilograms of DAP.

The fertilizer will be delivered to Cedas located in the municipalities of Calpulalpan, Tlaxco, Huamantla and Ixtacuixtla, taking care at all times of the sanitary measures indicated to protect the health of the producers, as well as that of the personnel that supports in the centers.

The measures that are applied are the following: Attention to the beneficiaries in a segmented way by hours; use of mandatory mask; healthy minimum distance of three meters; use of antibacterial gel and sanitary mats at the entrance of the Cedas.

Likewise, when receiving the fertilizer, it must present the following:

  • 1. Valid official identification, in original and a 200 percent legible copy.
  • 2. Unique Population Registry Code (CURP) readable in updated format.
  • 3. Show up exclusively on the day and time indicated by your appointment.
  • 4. Blue ink pen for personal use.
