Also, the mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, during a break in the court, told his version of the emergence of a criminal case against him. He stated that he did not have the sum of the bail of UAH 120 million, on which the prosecution insists.
Trukhanov also reported information that at one time Mikhail Saakashvili spoke with the leadership of NABU about the need to persecute him.
“I feel ashamed for what is happening here now,” Trukhanov said.
He clarified that he should be in Odessa, because there is a difficult situation with the coronavirus and the heating season is on the nose.
Suspicion of Trukhanov
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine handed the suspicion to the mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov on October 6.
“I inform the society that I have signed five suspicions within the framework of the investigation of criminal proceedings by NABU detectives and SAP prosecutors … The suspects were the mayor of the city, a number of city officials and one well-known Odessa citizen, whose role was carefully studied by the investigation, so as not to make a mistake. and don’t miss anything “, – said Prosecutor General of Ukraine Irina Venediktova.
She added that all these people were involved in crimes aimed at taking possession of land in Odessa.
