Until now, it is unknown by what route people of Russian nationality have arrived in Mexico and under what conditions they manage to enter the country.
Last Sunday three other people of Russian origin tried to cross through this sentry box.
These two crossings have not caused major problems than the temporary closure of the Tecate checkpoint; However, on December 12, through the Tijuana border that borders San Ysidro, a North American community belonging to San Diego County, 25 Russian people between adults and minors tried to cross.
The events at the Tijuana-San Ysidro checkpoint occurred at 9 o’clock at night when three cars manned by alleged human traffickers were located at the legal crossing line.
The first two vehicles, a Ford pickup and a Mercedes car, were speeding, which caught the attention of members of the United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP). In these, 11 adults and 7 minors were transferred.
One of the CBP members fired his weapon several times at the Mercedes, which hit the truck.
