Russian-backed forces violate ceasefire in Donbas 5 times

Five violations of the ceasefire were recorded in the area of ​​the Joint Forces Operation in Donbas on 6 January yesterday.

This was reported by the press center of the General Staff of the Operation of the Joint Forces (OFC).

“In the area of ​​responsibility of the Eastern tactical-operative group, the Russian occupation troops repeatedly opened fire with 120 mm mortars, different types of grenade launchers and heavy machine guns near Vodyane, in the area adjacent to the Sea of Azov. The enemy also fired several indiscriminate rounds of automatic grenade launchers against Ukrainian positions near Opytne, and small arms near Gnutove, the morning report says.

Cases of violations of the ceasefire were reported to the OSCE representatives through the Ukrainian part of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination. Ukrainian soldiers returned fire to the enemy’s attacks.

In the area of ​​responsibility of the North tactical-operational group, the ceasefire was respected. There were no casualties among the Joint Forces soldiers.

Since the beginning of the current day, January 7, a ceasefire has been observed in the area of ​​the Joint Forces Operation.
