The Kremlin warns Israel in order not to hinder the delivery of war material Russia from Syria a Ukraine.
Israeli broadcaster The Kanas quoted by Times of Israelhe said Russian and Israeli officials had held discussions a few days ago.
The discussion raised Russia’s concern over Israel’s attempts to interfere with the Kremlin’s process of shipping arms from Syria to Ukraine.
The Russian embassy in Israel has so far not responded to the Times of Israel’s request for comment.
Israel and Russia are said to have coordinated for some time regarding the two countries’ activities in the Syrian air. However, relations between the two countries soured after Israel joined in criticizing Russia for invading Ukraine.
Israel recently bombed a number of areas in Syria to prevent Iran from building a military force in the country. The Israeli military maneuver also envisaged stopping the supply of weapons from Iran to the Hezbollah militias in Syria, accused of being Iranian proxies.
Meanwhile, Russia has deployed thousands of soldiers and military equipment to help keep Bashar Al-Assad’s regime from being destroyed by rebels in Syria.
US media The New York Times has reported that Russia is withdrawing its military power in Syria due to the limitations of a shortage of military support in the war in Ukraine. One of those recalled by the Kremlin from Syria was the Russian-made S-300 air defense missile.
Israel itself still refrains from providing military assistance other than humanitarian assistance to Ukraine so that Russia doesn’t get upset.
Israel was also earlier forced to reject a request by Ukraine urging Tel Aviv to send its domestically-made Iron Drome anti-strike missiles.
In this way, Israel remains free to carry out military operations in Russia without being harassed by Russia.
However, there is a possibility that Israel will help Ukraine with defense equipment after Iran helped Russia with combat drones in Ukraine.
