“Decency does not mean weakness. We always have something to answer. And let America always remember: there is a part of its (Russia – ed.) territory – Alaska. That’s when they start trying to dispose of our resources abroad, before doing this, they will think, that we also have something to return,” the Russian official said.
At the same time, he added that the vice-speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Pyotr Tolstoy, proposed holding a pseudo-referendum for the annexation of Alaska.
