The Russian Federation often uses the threat of the use of force and poses a threat to the preservation of stability in Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova, noted the NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative.
The Russian Federation by its actions poses a threat to the preservation of stability, in particular, in Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova. This was stated by the NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Central Asia Javier Kolomina, writes Interfax Ukraine.
“Georgia and NATO are concerned about Russia’s security policy. In this region, Russia often uses the threat of the use of force and poses a threat to the preservation of stability both in Georgia and in other countries of the region, for example, in Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova,” Kolomina said after meeting with Foreign Minister of Georgia David Zalkaliani.
Prior to that, the special envoy accused the Kremlin of disrespect for the ceasefire agreement of August 12, 2008. Kolomina said this after he visited the border with South Ossetia and got acquainted with the current situation on the spot.
Javier Kolomina is in Georgia on a two-day visit.
