Russia Says It Has a List of Ukrainians to Kill or Send to Camps

MOSCOW, KOMPAS.com – United States of America (The US) has warned the United Nations (UN) that it has information where Russia have a list of people Ukraine to be killed or sent to the camp in the event of an invasion.

The information was contained in a letter the US sent to the UN human rights chief and obtained by the news agency AFP on Sunday (20/2/2022).

The letter that came when the US warned Russian invasion could happen in the near future, shows that the US is very concerned and warns of a potential human rights disaster.

“The United States has reliable information showing Russian forces making lists of people whoUkrainian identified to be killed or sent to camps after military occupation,” the letter reads AFP, Monday (21/2/2022).

So, who are the Ukrainians on the list? AFP didn’t mention it.

“We also have credible information that Russian forces are likely to use lethal measures to disperse peaceful protests or counter the peaceful exercise of perceived resistance from the civilian population,” said the message addressed to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet.

The letter, signed by Bathsheba Nell Crocker, the US ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, warned that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine could bring with it abuses such as kidnapping or torture, and could target political and religious dissidents, as well as ethnic minorities.

According to estimates by the US and its own Western allies, Russia has stationed more than 150,000 troops near the Ukrainian border in recent weeks.

On the other hand, Moscow has denied planning to attack its neighbors.

But they are seeking assurances that Ukraine will never join NATO and that the Western alliance will withdraw troops from Eastern Europe.

As is well known, these demands from Moscow have now been rejected by the West.
