[キーウ １０日 ロイター] – Ukrainian presidential adviser Podlyak said Thursday that Russian forces wanted to turn the city into a “dead city” by extracting the southern city of Kherson and then bombing it after their withdrawal.
“The Russian military is mining everywhere, from apartments to sewers. We will leave the ruined city with artillery fire from the left bank of the (Dnieper),” he tweeted.
On the 9th, Russian Defense Minister Shoigu announced that Russia would withdraw from the west bank of the Dnieper. The region has the provincial capital Kherson.
The Ukrainian army has not yet confirmed that Russian troops have withdrawn from Kherson.
Ukrainian Brigadier General Gromov said at a press conference that the actions of the Ukrainian forces left the Russian military with no choice but to withdraw.
“But at the moment we cannot confirm or deny information about the withdrawal of Russian troops from Kherson. We will continue our offensive operations according to plan,” he said.
