Russia increases export tariff on soybeans

After sunflowers and rapeseed, Russia is now also increasing the export tariff on soybeans.

As can be seen from a corresponding government order, this should amount to 30%, but not less than 165 euros (178 Fr.) per t in the period from February 1 to June 30, 2021. Up to now the tax on soybeans was 0%.

In order to stabilize prices on the domestic food market, the Russian government ordered an increase in export tariffs on sunflowers and rapeseed in December. The increase from 6.5% to 30% as well as the lower limit of 165 euros per t has been in effect since January 9, 2021.
