Russia has frozen Navalny’s bills, a spokeswoman said

“This means that the apartment cannot be sold, donated or mortgaged,” Jarmyšová said in a video she posted on Twitter. According to her, the property was confiscated from the opposition leader at a time when he was recovering from a August poison at the Charité hospital in Berlin.

Jarmyšová stated that Navalný’s property was confiscated on August 27 due to a lawsuit filed earlier by a Moscow company providing catering for schoolchildren. In October 2019, a Russian court ordered Navalny and his associates to pay a total of 88 million rubles (about 26.5 million CZK) in damages. This is what the Moscow company sued for damaging its good name after Navalnyj questioned the quality of its food.

Navalny was transported to the German capital at the end of August unconscious at the urging of his loved ones. Experts have confirmed that he was poisoned by the substance of the novices, which suggests that Russian secret services or the Kremlin were directly involved in the crime. But he resolutely refuses.

On Wednesday, Navalnyj was released from the hospital.
