There has been no official response from the Ukrainian authorities or military to Shoigu’s statement.
Ukrainian officials previously said its forces operate up to a dozen HIMARS missile systems, the accuracy and long-range range of which has allowed Kiev to reduce Russia’s artillery advantage.
