Royal Jordanian Launches New Route connecting Amman and Casablanca, Strengthening Ties Between Levant and North africa
Amman, Jordan – October 15, 2025 – Royal Jordanian (RJ) commenced direct, regular flights between Amman and Casablanca today, October 16th, operating twice weekly. The new service, utilizing the airline’s latest Airbus A320neo aircraft, signals a significant expansion of RJ’s network and a commitment to boosting tourism to Jordan. The announcement was made via the Jordanian news agency Petra.
According to Samer Majali, Vice President and General Manager of Royal Jordanian, the launch of this route reflects a collaborative effort between Jordan and morocco to enhance bilateral relations. “this new connection stems from a mutual desire to strengthen exchanges and ease travel for citizens,students,and business professionals from both nations,” Majali stated. He further emphasized the route’s potential to foster economic, commercial, and tourism growth between the two kingdoms.
Majali highlighted the strategic importance of adding Casablanca to the RJ network, positioning Jordan to better serve key North African markets. he described Morocco as “a land of history and economic vitality,” offering travelers convenient access to the broader cultural richness of the Maghreb region.
The airline’s long-term vision centers on promoting tourism to Jordan and expanding its international reach, with the ultimate goal of establishing Amman as a primary gateway to the Levant. The addition of Casablanca complements recent network expansions to major cities including Washington, Berlin, Mumbai, and Moscow.
