Royal Caribbean Cruises discontinues all cruise brands – worldwide! At first they only canceled the departures in the USA, now it affects all departures, all brands and all ships.
Now Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. Parent company of the cruise brands Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises decommissioned all ships of the three brands. The ships will no longer operate any cruises worldwide until April 10, 2020. All in all, cruise ship service will be suspended for almost 30 days.
The current journey of the ships are all carried out to the end, only then does the individual ships shutdown.
With this decision, the group is in a long line. There are already several brands of Carnival Corporation (AIDA Cruises, Costa Kreuzfahrten, Princess Cruises) and other cruise lines like Fred. Olsen, Celestyal or Windstar Cruises temporarily suspended the service. The Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has also put its three brands on hold. The service is discontinued worldwide at the named shipping companies.
With the decision of Royal Caribbean Cruises, over 30 additional cruise ships will be decommissioned in the next 30 days.
The shipping companies will of course contact the affected guests for the exact details of the cancellations.
