The victory marks the 24th overall clash between the two pairings (23rd final), extending chingotto/Galán’s head-to-head record to 16-7, including a 6-2 advantage in 2024.
The win comes after Chingotto and Galán’s defeat at the Düsseldorf P2 last week, intensifying the rivalry with Coello and Tapia. This championship solidifies their position as the world’s number one pairing, while delivering a sixth seasonal title for Coello/Tapia. The match promised a high-octane contest, and delivered, showcasing the pinnacle of professional padel.
In the women’s draw, Triay and Brea will face Josemaria and sanchez in the final, repeating a dominant storyline from the circuit. Josemaria and sanchez secured their place with a 6-3,6-2 victory over Salazar and calvo,while Triay and Brea overcame Jensen and Alonso in a 6-7,6-2,6-4 battle. This will be the seventh encounter between the two women’s pairings, with Josemaria and Sanchez entering as favorites seeking their third consecutive title and ninth of the season.
