The trio did not meet much love among political decision-makers – except for Ron DeSantis, the republican governor of the US state of Florida since 2018. As in many other places, DeSantis had ordered a temporary lockdown in March 2020. But he quickly took this step back under limited distance rules – which also meant that the Disney theme park, located in Orlando, Florida, was open to the public again in July 2020. Soon afterwards the last barriers fell.
