Last efforts of the year for Paulo Fonseca’s Roma, expected to return to the field on January 3 to face Sampdoria.
The Giallorossi team will undoubtedly want to start the new year on the right foot to confirm themselves in the top positions of the ranking. January will be an important month not only for Roma’s classification ambitions, but also for the transfer market. The Portuguese coach expects the right reinforcements to aim high. In the meantime, he must make the most of the men in his squad.
Rome, Pastore is back to training in a group
Afternoon training today for yellow and red formation, divided between gym and field. They trained separately Mirante, Spinazzola and Zaniolo. For the first two, their presence against Sampdoria is therefore unlikely. But a welcome news for Fonseca is the return to the group of Javier Pastore after the hip operation which has been keeping him out for some time. It is obviously difficult to say when the Argentine will be available, but this is the first step towards a long-awaited return to the field. For sure if the injuries, as we hope, do not stop him again, Pastore could be an important pawn to exploit in the second half of the season.
