Rome changes ownership, now it can really be said. James Pallotta signed the documents for the transfer of ownership and Dan Friedkin and is preparing to become the new president of the Giallorossi club. Thus ends on the Italian night (in the US it was afternoon) the negotiation with which Friedkin withdraws the company for 490 million plus another 90 of recapitalization. After nine years Rome changes the guide again but remains American: it will go into the hands of the Texan tycoon, but to take care of Rome will also be his son Ryan, more enthusiastic than ever about the new adventure.
DETAILS – Friedkin set up a Newco in London precisely for the transfer of ownership. The signing ends a long soap opera that began at the beginning of the year and suspended for the entire time of the lockdown. The meeting in the last few days between Pallotta and Friedkin is decisive for the success of the negotiation. This morning the renunciation of the other running group, that of Al Baker of Kuwait, it paved the way for the Toyota man, who a few minutes ago officially became Rome’s new number one. The figures are equal to 490-495 million plus an additional 85 million for the capital increase. The closing will be formalized by the end of the month, perhaps very quickly. A week later Pallotta will receive approximately 200 million of its share. Then Friedkin will pay a substantial capital increase, which will reach 85/90 million by 31 December.
