Roller coaster accident in Klotten (RLP) in the amusement park – woman dead – SWR3

Usually, amusement park rides play on people’s fears, giving them an adrenaline rush. But now a woman has actually fallen and died.

550 meters long, up to 17.5 meters high and up to 60 kilometers per hour is the roller coaster in the wildlife and leisure park Klotten near Cochem, also called Klotti. As “hot ride‘ she is touted on the park’s website and: ‘nothing for the faint-hearted“. Not everyone who got into one of the cars on Saturday got out alive.

Fatal accident in Klotten amusement park

A 57-year-old woman from St. Wendel in Saarland fell out of the moving roller coaster on Saturday afternoon. The accident triggered a large-scale deployment of rescue workers. Despite resuscitation measures, the woman died at the scene of the accident.
