State Duma deputy, three-time Olympic champion Irina Rodnina on Twitter responded to the words of the Russian striker of the National Hockey League (NHL) New York Rangers Artemy Panarin about Russia.

One of the users sent Rodnina a video in which the hockey player explains his civic position. “I am only for freedom of opinion! And you alcohol, no matter what, clearly clouded the mind, ”- said the deputy.

On June 5, Panarin declared that some “villains and toads” were trying to convict of dislike for the homeland. The hockey player emphasized that he wished happiness to all residents of Russia and asked not to confuse the homeland and the state.

Panarin is the highest paid Russian NHL player. Last July, he signed a seven-year contract with the Rangers, under which he should receive $ 81.5 million.

Rodnina is a three-time Olympic champion and ten-time world champion in pair skating. In December 2007, she was elected as a deputy of the State Duma on the list of “United Russia” from the Omsk region.
