The new standalone version of Red Dead Online requires up to 123GB of storage space and there will be an option to purchase Red Dead Redemption 2’s story mode for a fee. The console version of the full game is currently for sale for about 25 euros.

Rockstar probably wants to increase the number of Red Dead Online players with the single sale. Publisher Take-Two also makes money from in-game purchases that players can make from the online section. It is not known how many players there are currently. The game itself has shipped over 34 million copies to date.

In recent years, Rockstar has invested heavily in Grand Theft Auto: Online, the multiplayer part of GTA: V, which has made it the biggest-grossing entertainment product ever.
