Developer Psyonix has made the iOS and Android game Rocket League Sideswipe available worldwide. The game will be free-to-play, and unlike the PC and console versions, it takes place in a 2D environment.

The game has been since Monday night available for download worldwide in the app stores of both iOS and Android. In March, at the time of the announcement of the game, an alpha test has already been conducted in Australia and New Zealand for the Android version. Two weeks ago became the full game already released for those countries.

In Rocket League Sideswipe, just like the full version of Rocket League, the aim is for players to shoot the ball into the opponents’ goal with a car. The games last two minutes and take place in a side view, rather than the 3D environment of the original. You can play 2-on-2 or 1-on-1, both locally and online. Sideswipe works with touch controls to make the game more playable for smartphones.
