Riyadh: The Sparkans Cricket Club won the Champions Trophy season one organized by the Royal Cricket Club for the Riyadh Talkies Winners ‘Trophy, Runners’ Trophy, RCC Winners ‘Prize and MS Sports Runners’ Prize.
In the final, the Sparkans defeated the mighty Hatrick Cricket Club by 99/7 in the allotted 10 overs. In reply, the Hatrick Cricket Club managed to score 82/9 in front of the Sparkans’ excellent bowling.
Sparkans’ Pranav was selected as the best player in the final. Hisham Hatrick Cricket Club named Best Player of the Tournament, Riyaz Hatrick Cricket Club named Best Batsman and Hisham Hatrick Cricket Club named Best Bowler.
The trophies for the winners were presented by Nawaz Opis Riyadh Talkies President, Shaiju Pacha Riyadh Talkies, Nasser Celebra RCC Manager, Jabbar Poovar Riyadh Talkies, Kunal Singh and Sajan Krishnankutty.
The tournament, which started on December 4 at the Shifa Fawaz Cricket Ground, featured the top 16 teams in Riyadh.
Nasser Celebra, Shias Hassan, Anoop, Varun, Vighnesh, Afhas, Shahnawaz, Shafiq Parayil, Shabeer, Shinas, Uday Ashraf, Noushad, Shameel, Jabir, Shahin, Jitesh, Bins, Hussain, Mubarak and others led the competition.
