That is 25 more than the 24 hours before. This brings the average number of infections in the past seven days to 49. In the municipality of Midden Drenthe, one person has been hospitalized with a positive corona test. No Drents have died.
Most infections come from the municipality of Emmen (22) followed by the municipality of Hoogeveen (15). No new corona infections are known in the municipalities of Tynaarlo and Aa en Hunze.

National figures
The RIVM has registered 2467 new corona infections nationwide in the past 24 hours. That is more than 200 new cases more than Friday. The seven-day average is again higher than a week ago.
In the past seven days, an average of 2401 new corona cases were registered per day. Last Saturday, that weekly number stood at an average of 2312 cases per day. This means that the number of new corona cases, measured over a longer period, does not decrease.
RIVM reports eight new deaths today. That is not to say that all these people have actually died in the past 24 hours, because it sometimes takes a while before a corona-related death is registered.
Hospital admissions
657 corona patients were admitted to Dutch hospitals on Saturday, according to the latest figures from the National Coordination Center for Patients Spreading (LCPS). That is ten patients less than 24 hours previously. The number of beds in hospitals occupied by corona patients has fluctuated between about 650 and 700 for weeks.
In the intensive care units, the number of corona patients increased slightly over the past 24 hours, with three patients to 218 in total.
