Last week, 32,000 people in the Netherlands were contagious. That number has risen to 50,000 in the past week. Nearly 300 people are now contagious per 100,000 inhabitants.

De Jonge: ‘See which instruments are appropriate for each region’

The minister also reports that the corona figures will soon also be available in a regional dashboard. “We are developing a regional dashboard. You have to look at which instruments are best suited for each region. For example, it is quite possible that a maximum number of attendees will also be set at catering establishments,” said the minister.

Prime Minister Rutte and Minister Hugo de Jonge announced during the press conference on Tuesday evening that most people now become infected in the private sphere, such as at parties.
