Initially, Sudarsono complained about the condition of Dr. Soetomo Regional Hospital, which has now been overload treating corona patients (Covid-19). He mentioned that many patients were left untreated. Hearing that, Risma finally prostrated.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Sudarsono, I am an idiot, I don’t deserve to be the Mayor of Surabaya,” said Risma, while prostrating.
Before prostrating, Risma complained about the difficulty of communicating directly with management and doctors at the East Java Provincial Hospital.
“We didn’t accept it. Because we couldn’t get in there [RSUD dr Soetomo untuk komunikasi], “he said.
In fact, the first female mayor in Surabaya said that the assistance of personal protective equipment (PPE) sent by her to RSUD Dr. Soetomo, was also rejected.
“I gave the APD to RSUD Dr. Soetomo, it was also rejected. There is evidence of rejection,” he said.
Risma admitted that the Task Force for the Acceleration of Covid-19 Surabaya has worked hard to treat corona patients in the City of Heroes. Although the patient is not a native of Surabaya.
“We worked hard, too. I thought my people were dying, and we still had a night take care of my residents until 3:00 in the morning even though we are not Surabaya residents, we are still taking care of, “he said.
Meanwhile, Dr. Sudarsono complained about the current condition of Dr. Soetomo Hospital overload. According to him, this was due to the condition of the people in Surabaya who were not aware of the health protocol.
“Mrs. Risma’s business is very good, only I see, that at night in the small streets there are still young coffee shops,” he said.
That’s what then makes corona patients continue to burst. He called the patients who entered with patients who came out or recovered, the numbers were not comparable.
He also told how he had cried in the emergency room, when he found one patient who was in severe condition, had to be treated, but was constrained by a treatment room that was already full.
“I see the proportion of incoming and outgoing is not comparable. I have cry, there are patients who ask for help to find a place, but not there is, what should I do, “he said.
