It is one of the most anticipated debuts at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, that of the Rimac Nevera, the 1,888 hp maximum power and $ 2 million electric hypercar, initially known as C_Two. After months of development and improvements to the model, the Croatian manufacturer launched the new name, Nevera, and brought the unique spectacle of its incredible performance to the public.

In the name, the new Rimac Nevera, launched on the famous Goodwood hill climb, pays homage to the strong and sudden storms that occur on the Croatian coast. And this was also guessed by the short preview video of the presentation of the model released on YouTube, which referred to stormy weather phenomena. Rimac says its engineers have “refined their new hypercar at all levels”, using mostly in-house custom-developed components, to pursue the “ambitious performance goals” outlined in the first concept of 2018. In line with these aspirations , the powertrain has a combined power of 1888 hp and a peak torque of 2,300 Nm which, according to the Croatian house, is three times higher than the power of a conventional supercar with combustion engine.

The new Rimac Nevera is 2.5 seconds faster than initially expected to reach 300 km / h, requiring just 9.3 seconds. With a declared sprint, from 0 to 100 km / h in 1.85 seconds, the Rimac Nevera becomes the production car with the best acceleration ever built. The maximum speed of 415 km / h brings it close to the Bugatti Chiron powered by the mighty W16.
