After #ReleaseTheSnyderCut there is now also #ReleaseTheAyerCut and that latest version of Suicide Squad could just appear before or after the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
The 2016 film from director David Ayer would already have a completed Director’s Cut and it could just land on HBO Max. Ayer’s version would include a lot of extra character development and certainly more footage from Jared LetoShow the Joker.
Leto’s maligned rendition of the beloved DC character will also get a share Zack Snyder’s Justice League which is expected to appear on Warner Bros. ‘new streaming service in the summer of 2021.
First 40 minutes removed
The director of films like Bright in End of Watch was asked on Twitter which scene was the hardest for him to leave on the “editing table”. The director reacted somewhat bitterly, but clearly: “The first forty minutes.”

Then Ayer responded again to the surprise of someone else. “The film is torn to pieces. I can’t stress that enough,” says the director who is still very disappointed how Warner Bros. interacted with his film in 2016. Would you watch the Ayer version?
