I want to. It’s finally here again. American football fans are impatiently waiting for the final on Sunday, February 12th, 2023. For the Schiefbahn Riders, this date is not only a must in the calendar of events, but they themselves are again organizing a big football trial on Superbowl Sunday. The Schiefbahner footballers have already been able to successfully hold the open day several times and the riders are now recruiting youngsters again. Kjell Krenz, youth leader of the Riders says: “This is the best time to get into the world of American football again.” In view of the significant increase in the number of German players in the largest US professional league, Krenz adds confidently: “We’ll do it Tomorrow’s NFL Stars.”
From the point of view of the youth leader, getting started with the Riders Openday training is very easy: “Those interested don’t need football equipment or football experience. You should only bring sports gear, water for the breaks and above all a lot of enthusiasm for the greatest team sport in the world.” It was also announced that there would be sausages and a bit of pastry for refreshment.
At the open day, children, young people and adults can get to know the riders and experience American football up close. The riders share that it doesn’t matter if you’re tall or short, fast or slow, skinny or strong. With the Riders, everyone should find their position. All youth teams as well as the seniors of the Schiefbahn Riders are represented at the Open Day, starting with the U10 (from 7 years), through the U13 (from 11 years), the U16 (from 14 years) and also the U19 (from 17 years ) and seniors (from 18 years)
