Ricky Martin urges to go out and report injustices

Puerto Rican artist Ricky Martin urged his audience to “go out” on Tuesday, speak and express himself in the face of any injustice, in a clear allusion to the political and social situation in Puerto Rico.

“This is what I urge the public: that when there is some kind of injustice, whether in the classroom, in your neighborhood, in your town, in your city or in your country, you go out and talk and express yourself, “Martin said in an interview with Efe.

The artist, who also revealed details of his new world tour “Movimiento Tour”, which starts in ten days in Puerto Rico, played a central role in the protests of the summer of 2019 that led to the resignation of then Governor Ricardo Rosselló for his link with a chat that led to a political and social crisis on the island.

Now Martin has turned to the Internet again to denounce the current president of the island, Wanda Vázquez, for the hundreds of children who, he said, sleep in tents in the south of that Commonwealth of the United States, victims of the December seismic activity.

“Thousands of children sleeping on the street, I can’t keep quiet. We are going to work very hard,” Martin added to Efe in the middle of his rehearsals for the three presentations he has in Puerto Rico – February 7, 8 and 9- to start “Movement Tour”.

The denunciations of Martin also left them embodied in the songs “Sing it” and “Sharks”, the first two singles of what would be his next album, which still has no publication date or name.

“The good thing is that I have no secrets and everything is documented. I simply speak when I feel some kind of injustice, ”he said.
