This weekend the LGBTI + community celebrates its Pride Day around the world and various entertainment figures have joined through posts on their social networks.
Women like Thalía, Paulina Rubio, Fey and Belinda, who have a great fanaticism within this community, sent messages of support in love with photos and videos. They were joined by Ricky Martin and actors Alfonso Herrera and Miguel Ángel Muñoz, to name a few.
For her part, Joy Huerta of the Mexican duo Jesse and Joy published a photo and dedicated a few words to her daughter Noah, saying that it is the fruit of pure love between her and his wife and pointed out the struggle that this community is still fighting: “Today and all days we proudly celebrate our diversity. But also making it clear that there is still a long, long way to go to achieve equal human rights, and that we will continue to fight, resisting with our heads held high so that you, your children, and yours will live more freely. Your beautiful little girl, you are our pride; forever”.
They were also joined by celebrities such as Madonna, Reese Whiterspoon, Cara Delevine, Martina La Peligrosa, Pilar Castaño, Goyo, Luis Gerardo Méndez, among others.
On June 28, 1969, the community of people considered non-normative – lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender – was the victim of a police raid on the New York bar Stonewall Inn. As a result, there were peaceful and violent demonstrations in the form of a protest.
Our hearts beat at different rates and at different times, but together they create a wonderful symphony that fills this planet with love, freedom and joy. We are love and we are strength! Virtual Pride, UNSTOPPABLE! VIDEO https://t.co/VpXgxkTtES#Pride #LoveIsLive pic.twitter.com/nTtvlEPhbK
