Rhône. 600 tonnes of salt used to clear snow from departmental roads this weekend

Part of the Rhône woke up under the snowflakes this Sunday. And, to keep the road network passable, the departmental road system had to intervene.

38 trucks taken out at night from Sunday to Monday

90 agents were thus mobilized during the weekend.

12 patrols were carried out during the night from Friday to Saturday, and 14 during the following two nights.

38 trucks left during the last night, against 28 the day before and 6 the day before.

And in total, 600 tonnes were consumed on the night of November 27-28.

A winter viability plan for the Rhône department

Set up by the department, the winter service plan is active from November 15, 2021 to February 20, 2022.

Around 250 agents can be mobilized, including around 100 on alert 24 hours a day during this 14-week period.

19 operating centers intervene in the field and send information relating to traffic conditions back to a centralized Rhône Displacement PC.
