Revitalizing the Former Terrot Factory in Dijon: A Visit to the Conversion Site

Visit to the conversion site of the former Terrot factory in Dijon

Founded in Dijon by Charles Terrot in 1887, the Terrot factory was active until 1959 when it was absorbed by Peugeot. Beyond the thousands of motorcycles and bicycles produced by this factory, Terrot has acquired great notoriety thanks to the manufacture of prams and pushchairs. The site has been abandoned since 2004, represents a tenement of more than 2.5 hectares, at the gates of the historic center and relatively well served by transport.

The Group is present for the reconversion of this site through the interventions of CDC Habitat, Adoma and the Bank of Territories. Thus, at this point, the volume total loan granted by Banque des Territoires is €34.2 millionall 100% guaranteed by Dijon Métropole, for:

  • A social residence for young workers with 142 apartments by Adoma,
  • A 165-place nursing home by CDC Habitat,
  • 79 housing units by Grand Dijon Habitat.
