Review of Xiaomi 11T Pro, Satisfying for a High-End Flagship Price of IDR 7 Million

The good news, Xiaomi 11T Pro and 11T do not have much difference. But for those of you who believe that the Qualcomm chipset is better, then it is appropriate to choose the Xiaomi 11T Pro over the regular one.

Design

The Xiaomi 11T Pro that Medcom.id tested has the Meteorite Gray color variant which will look like gray and black when in different conditions or exposed to light reflections. Here it can be seen that the rear body design is shiny like glass material but behind it there are strokes or some kind of metal brush shading.

The surface design makes fingerprint marks not easily left behind even though they are still slightly visible. The body is also not slippery but when your palms are dry, it is different from the design of the Mi 11 variant which in our opinion is very mandatory to wear a protective case.

The Xiaomi 11T Pro itself has an IP53 certification which indicates its resistance to dust and splashes of water. Here, the frame or rear camera bumper is quite large, but it doesn’t look strange and there is still a luxurious impression.

Screen

This smartphone has a body that is quite slim so it is comfortable to hold because it is light. On the screen you will be presented with a 6.67-inch FHD Plus resolution AMOLED panel that has one billion colors. The refresh rate it has is relatively high at 120Hz, although it’s not the highest.

Not to forget the AdaptiveSync feature is also still available to adjust the refresh rate automatically by recognizing the content that is accessed by the user or appears on the screen so that it can save battery consumption.

One more thing that makes the Xiaomi 11T Pro screen a high-end smartphone class is that it is coated with Corning Gorilla Victus to protect the screen.

Interface and Features

Xiaomi 11T Pro comes with Android 11 operating system polished to MIUI 12.5.7. Here, the interface is still felt with the current Xiaomi and Redmi interface, the icons used are very colorful with the interface presented through lots of graphics.

The Xiaomi 11T Pro still comes with a fingerprint scanner sensor that is placed on the Power button. In our opinion, this design is much more ergonomic, the position is right and does not interfere with the aesthetics of the design. The performance is also fast, users can also choose to activate the face scanner feature.

Xiaomi put the Dual SIM slot at the bottom and it turns out that here is not provided a MicroSD slot. The Xiaomi 11T also does not provide an audiojack hole but a USB-C port next to the speaker grill at the bottom.

On the top side you can find another speaker that is supported by Harman Kardon and still has an IR blaster feature. This feature is able to make the Xiaomi 11T Pro a smart remote to connect to other electronic devices. Harman Kardon managed to make the audio quality of the Xiaomi 11T Pro feel pleasing to the ear.

In the gaming experience, the Xiaomi 11T Pro still carries the Game Turbo feature that has been found on the Xiaomi/Mi smartphone series as well as Redmi and Poco. There is nothing new here.

Camera

The Xiaomi 11T Pro brings the highest camera capabilities that have been showcased in the previous generation. Here there is a Pro-grade triple AI Camera, namely three rear cameras with 108MP main capabilities and a 5MP telemacro camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera.

Medcom.id tested the camera’s capabilities in normal photo mode with the HDR feature in Auto settings and disabling AI capabilities. Here the results of the Xiaomi 11T Pro camera photos are very satisfying, including the Super Macro mode.

There is also a 16MP front camera available here. Just like the previous generation or version, namely the Xiaomi Mi 11 Series, the Xiaomi 11T Pro is also available in a number of video capture modes that support making wide-screen movie-class videos.

Performance

Xiaomi 11T Pro uses the Snapdragon 888 chipset from Qualcomm whose performance we already know because it’s not only Xiaomi that has used it. Medcom.id tested the Xiaomi 11T Pro 12GB RAM version with 256GB internal memory. In the market there is also an 8GB RAM variant which is priced at a cheaper price of Rp. 6,999,000.

We did a performance test with PCMark and 3DMark benchmark applications from UL Bencmarks. The results of the score are indeed very qualified in the smartphone class with the Snapdragon 888 chipset.

In the 3DMark for Android test, the Slingshot Extreme and Slingshot modes scored Maxed Out, according to UL Benchmarks, this indicates a score that exceeds 11,000.

These results are often found on smartphones with high chipsets or high-end classes. Tests were carried out using 3DMark Wild Life Extreme and Wild Life modes so that the difference in performance could be seen more clearly.

Xiaomi 11T Pro comes with battery charging technology which is claimed to be the fastest in Indonesia. Here is the Xiaomi Hyper Charge 120W technology. Our experience is getting the battery fully charged in less than 40 minutes.

Testing PCMark for Android got a battery life of up to 12 hours with a screen brightness level of 50 percent. In everyday use the endurance may be different, so these results are only an indicator of how durable the Xiaomi 11T battery is according to the PCMark version of the simulation.

In the gaming experience, we tried the Xiaomi 11T Pro to try to play the game Ragnarok X: Next Generation at maximum graphic quality, aka exquisite and AFK for hours at a screen brightness of 25 percent. This device has been shown to produce only a small amount of warmth.

In the experience of playing Genshin Impact on the Highest graphics and frame rate of 60fps, only the heat effects are still low and can be tolerated and the gameplay runs smoothly without breaking.

Conclusion
