The groom in Bima City, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), kicked by the in-laws when the marriage ceremony was going viral on social media. Apparently, the in-laws got emotional because they felt toyed with by the groom.
Initially, the marriage contract procession was scheduled to take place on Saturday (14/7/2021), at around 10.00 Wita. But things didn’t go according to plan.
The groom and his family did not arrive at the appointed time and place. The family postponed and waited until 12.00 WITA.
But the groom never came without giving reasons to the bride’s family. Then it was postponed again until 14.00 WITA, they never came.
Two hours later, or around 16.00 Wita, the groom and the family arrived at the location of the marriage procession, precisely at the bride’s residence in Oimbo Subdistrict, East Rasanae District.
“Kuriana, the mother-in-law of the complainant, abused the victim because she felt that she was being played with on the day of the wedding, at which time there were four delays in the marriage contract because the groom was not present at the agreed time and the KUA officers went back and forth four times. back because the groom did not come,” said Head of Public Relations of Bima City Police, Iptu Jufri, Tuesday (28/9/2021).
When the marriage ceremony took place, the groom Armanul Hakim and Kuriana’s father-in-law sat opposite each other. Beside them, there were KUA officers and witnesses from both sides.
In the middle of the procession, it is seen reciting the sentence of creed as a sign that the sacred ceremony has begun. However, at the end of the sentence, Kuriana utters the word ‘bote’, which means monkey in the Bima language.
“Before the persecution took place, suddenly the victim’s family said words that were not pleasing to the ears of the reported party, so that when the reported said the creed at the end of the sentence, he immediately said the words ‘bote’, meaning monkey. Finally, the atmosphere became chaotic. Furthermore, the reported person got up from his seat. Out of emotion, he kicked Armanul Hakim’s head,” said Jufri.
