Return of water to Lamentin: the explanations of Odyssi – Journal France-Antilles – All the news from your region in Martinique

While water is still not flowing in a number of Lamentin taps, a press release from Odyssi talks about the delivery conditions.

Following the meeting held in the prefecture on May 11, between the general secretary of the prefecture, the management of the SME and the management of Odyssi, an agreement was reached for an urgent refilling of the deprived districts of water in Lamentin (Beleme branch).
“This agreement provides for a distribution of the resource implying a commitment by the SME to provide a minimum of 2,500 m3 of water a day in the Lamentin within 36 hours, “said Odyssi. “To date, the SME has delivered 1,621 m3 Monday and 1,948 m3 Tuesday. Given these quantities, we had to supply the tanks in turn, ”further explains the operator.

“Alternate supply”

Monday, May 11, Odyssi explains that he was able to fill the Acajou tank and thus supply the following districts: Mahogany, Extended Mahogany, Galleria.
On Tuesday, May 12, Odyssi began filling the Morne-Pavillon Gondeau reservoir, supplying the Morne-Pavillon Gondeau, Basse Gondeau and upper Acajou Prolongé districts.
Finally, the Palmist tank was filled during the day on Wednesday. It serves the Jeanne-d’Arc, Petit-Pré, Pays Mixe and Long Pré districts.
Odyssi specifies that he is “for the time being obliged to apply alternating supply, in order to successively supply the three main tanks of the Bélème branch. This explains why water does not yet return permanently in certain districts. “
