Retired Police General Criticized, Lemkapi: Don’t Be a Provocateur of Brigadier J .’s Death

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Indonesian Police Strategic Studies Institute (Lemkapi) condemned a number of general retired Police officer for making a statement that caused a commotion in the case of Brigadier J.

“To retired generals of the police, don’t be provocateurs and seek the stage,” said Executive Director of the Indonesian Police Strategic Studies Institute (Lemkapi) Edi Hasibuan in a written statement in Jakarta, Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

Edi suggested that retired generals should help the National Police in solving the shooting case of Brigadier J at the official residence of the Propam Headquarters, in the Duren Tiga area, South Jakarta, July 8, 2022 so that this case can be resolved quickly.

“We remind retired generals of the National Police, not to make noise in the public sphere. Do not give misleading views and confuse the public,” said this former member of the National Police Commission (Kompolnas).

According to him, it is unethical to see that a number of retired generals of the Indonesian National Police are even present in the public domain looking for the stage and throwing statements that provoke and confuse the public.

“We are even more proud when we see retired generals of the National Police come to the National Police Chief to convey support, motivate and provide input through the retired National Police organization chaired by Bambang Hendarso Danuari,” he said. Edi assessed that the National Police currently needs the support of all parties, including retired officers due to the heavy pressure and public blasphemy for the death of Brigadier J.

lie detector
Edi also said that seeing the difficulty of uncovering the shooting case at the official house of the Propam Headquarters in the Duren Tiga area, South Jakarta, the special police team needed to prepare a “lie detector” (lie detector) when examining Ferdy Sambo’s family, bodyguards and assistants.

“We are confident that by using the ‘lie detector’ we will see who is telling the truth and who is lying,” he said.

In addition to the “lie detector”, a special team of police can also confiscate all cellphones and analyze the communication records (print out) of all people in Ferdy Sambo’s house. This method, according to him, is very commonly used by professional and security officers (Propam) in the field when examining police officers who are having problems in their duties.

According to this academic from Bhayangkara University, Jakarta, in due course, the National Police will announce the suspect when all the evidence is in full possession of the police investigators.

Edi Hasibuan also asked all parties not to speculate and provide a statement about the wounds on Brigadier J’s body. “Don’t talk about the autopsy results if it’s not their field because it interferes with the investigation,” he said.

The disclosure of the case of Brigadier’s death which caused public polemic and suspicion made the National Police to form a special team in which there were four three-star generals. However, until now, there is no suspect in the case even though there has been a re-autopsy of the body Brigadier J.
